We provide our services all over the Greater Toronto area.

Who is eligible for your service?

Basically we focus on seniors and people with temporary or long-term sicknesses. No matter you’d appreciate just a little help with some activities of daily living, you’ve been released from hospital or you need to fill a gap in caretaking – we are prepared. Our caregivers are specialized in people with Alzheimer ’s disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s and Diabetes, in palliative and chronic care, personal hygiene and more

What types of services do you provide?

Hygiene assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands and shopping, escort services, respite for primer caregivers, joyful companionship, palliative and chronic care

Do you send your caregivers only to private homes?

No, we provide care, wherever it is needed: in private homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, retirement residences and hospitals.

Is there a time limit?

No, our caregivers are available up to 24/7

Are nights, weekends and holidays covered?

Yes, we are here for you ANYTIME. We offer you live-in or live-out care, whatever works better for you.

Who are your caregivers?

We send you only certified PSWs (Personal Support Workers). Many of them have a medical background and we make sure, that all of them are well experienced in working with seniors and cancer patients. Each new caregiver has to pass a comprehensive background screening and has to convince us with traits such as a caring personality, empathy and confidence. Even though our team consists mostly of women, we do have some male caregivers, too. Most of them are at least bilingual and are familiar with rules and ethics of different cultures and religions.

How much do you charge?

That depends on the extent of service. In general our hourly rate is $19.50 (without taxes in case CCAC is involved in the care plan). Other than that we have flat rates for week- or nightshifts.

How can I get started with Senior Homecare by Angels?

It’s as easy as 1-2-3…give us a call on 416-398-4663 (in case the line is busy, your call will be answered in not later than 15 min- guaranteed!) and set up an appointment for a FREE in-Home consultation. After this meeting, we preselect the perfect caregiver for you and bring him/her to your place for an interview. According to our policy “SELECT YOUR CAREGIVER”, we give you a choice: you like the person, we propose you – fine; you don’t like the person, we propose – we will find somebody else for you. It’s extremely important to us, that our clients feel comfortable with the person, who provides care for them.

Do you take some sort of control over the work of your caregivers?

Yes. I’m supervising our PSWs in such way, that I am in phone contact all the time. I am always available for our workers and the clients. We keep our ears, eyes and hearts open for the needs, concerns or complaints of the care recipients and want to make sure, that they are receiving the best possible care. Senior Homecare by Angels keeps in close touch with clients and family members through weekly visits or phone calls.

What’s the difference between other services and your agency?

A huge one: starting from eligibility up to consistency. The major difference is, that for us YOU are the boss. YOU decide, what type of assistance you want, YOU give us the timeframe and YOU tell us, how you want to have things done. We are not going to dictate you a care plan or a schedule. It is our job to adjust to YOUR needs and to keep you comfortable. For that reason, we set you up with your personal caregiver, who is familiar with you and your situation. Nobody likes to have different persons entering one’s privacy all the time.

How long is the waiting time?

If necessary, we will arrange help for you for next day. In general it takes us not more than one week to find your caregiver and to set up a support plan with you. Paperwork is secondary to us. The In-home consultation is for FREE and totally non-committal for you.
