What does “aging in place” mean?

What services do you provide?

Senior Homecare by Angels is a local agency that provides in-home senior care services to Edmonton and Surrounding Area. We offer comprehensive companion care services, end of life care, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and respite care. Our typical companion care services include medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, fall prevention, personal hygiene assistance, and transportation to medical appointments, errands, community events, and more.

Can you work with assisted living facilities, nursing homes and retirement residences?

Yes! Sometimes our clients move to a live-in facility only to realize that the care they receive there may not meet their daily needs. A Senior Homecare by Angels caregiver can be present around-the-clock or just a few hours a day, providing the personal care that may be missing in an institution. This includes assistance with daily tasks and making sure your loved one stays safe and healthy.

Can I trust the person assigned as my caregiver?

We care a lot about the people we serve, as well as the people we hire. When it comes to selecting a caregiver during the interview/selection process, we make sure that there are no reservations from either the client or the caregiver. We always use our best judgement when it comes to the recommendation, but in the end, the decision is ultimately yours -- and we want you to have the utmost confidence in your choice. In addition, all of our staff must have clean criminal record checks, three reputable character & work references, and a background of experience in the care industry. We take your safety very seriously, which is why we are rigorous in our hiring process and our matching process. We will also regularly check-in with you, to make sure you are still satisfied and happy with your chosen caregiver! And if a concern ever arises, we will find you a better match at no cost or hassle. 

How long will it take to get a caregiver?

The health care industry can have many hoops to jump through when you're attempting to get access to services. But we focus on making the process as quick and easy as possible, while still making sure that all your needs are met! When you call us, it's very likely that you could have your complimentary in-home consultation that same day, and begin care the very next day! We'll go at a pace that is comfortable for you. That means whether you need a day, a week or a month to make your choice, we'll always be ready to help you at a moments notice!

Why shouldn't I choose another home care provider with a lower cost?

What if I need to change my care plan, my schedule or my caregiver?

We’ll work with you to make sure that the in-home care you or your loved one is receiving continue to meet your needs. This means that we’ll work to accommodate schedule changes, or requests to change the individual caregiver working with you and your family. We know that care plans will need to change over time as medical and physical conditions change. We are always flexible and communicative, and our priority is providing the best possible care to you and your loved one.

What if I have an emergency and need to reach your staff?

You deserve care around-the-clock. It wouldn't be fair to force you into our schedule and hours. That's why you can phone us 24/7, no matter what! During our normal working hours,we'll answer right away. Anytime in the evening or night, we can guarantee your call will be returned within fifteen minutes, no matter what!

Is there a cancellation fee for if I want to stop services?

When we started Senior Homecare by Angels, we made a commitment to providing the best care possible. And part of that means being committed to your needs and schedule. And when you decide that you no longer need home care, then that's all there is to it! There is no fee or punishment to cancelling services. There is no obligation to commit to us for longer than you need! And if the situation ever arises where you need us again, we'll always be a phone call away!
