Frequently asked questions for prospective or new clients
How to start and get the most out of non medical home care
If you’re ready to start receiving home care for yourself or a family member, knowing more about our services and what it’s like to work with us can help set your mind at ease about inviting a stranger into your home. Non medical home care is gaining in popularity every year, and at Senior Homecare by Angels, we take pride in increasing the quality of life for each of our clients and helping our neighbors age in place.
What does “aging in place” mean?
Seniors who choose to “age in place” are choosing to remain in their homes, rather than moving into a live-in facility such as assisted living or a nursing home. Aging in place means that our clients are choosing to age independently, maintaining their lifestyle and their preferences throughout the aging process. Non medical home care facilitates aging in place for many seniors, enabling clients to get help with daily tasks while remaining in their own homes.
What services do you provide?
Senior Homecare by Angels is a local agency that provides non medical home care. We offer comprehensive companion care services, end of life care, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and respite care. Our typical companion care model includes medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, fall prevention, personal hygiene assistance, and transportation to medical appointments, errands, community events, and more.
I am interested in getting non medical home care. How do I get started?
Contact Us! Our representative will contact you to set up a free, no-obligation assessment of your needs, and discuss what kind of care will be right for you and your family. Then, we’ll identify caregivers who have the right blend of experience and personality traits to be a good match, and you’ll be able to interview and meet that caregiver. With your approval, your new caregiver can begin working with you and your family within 48 hours.
Can you work with assisted living facilities or nursing homes?
Yes. We know that even clients in live-in facilities may have additional mental, social, and cognitive needs. A Senior Homecare by Angels caregiver can be present around-the-clock or just a few hours a day, providing assistance with daily tasks and making sure your loved one stays safe and healthy.
What if I need to change my care plan, my schedule, or my caregiver?
We’ll work with you to make sure that the senior care services you or your loved one is receiving continue to meet your needs. This means that we’ll work to accommodate schedule changes, or requests to change the individual caregiver working with you and your family. We know that care plans will need to change over time as medical and physical conditions change over time. We strive to be flexible and communicative, and our priority is providing the best possible care to you and your loved one.
Each Senior Homecare by Angels agency is a franchise that is independently owned and operated. The Franchisor, Visiting Homecare International Inc., does not control or manage the day to day business operations of any Senior Homecare by Angels franchised agency.
