Giving your loved one the best throughout their golden years

Elderly care, certified holistic care, and more

As our loved ones age, their needs change, and keep changing. Whether your loved one has received a medical diagnosis impacting their physical or mental health, or their abilities have changed over the years, elderly care from Senior Homecare by Angels can help keep your loved one safe in the comfort of their own home. Because we also offer certified holistic care, and other end of life services, when you work with us, you’ll know your loved one is getting the best care possible no matter their needs.

Although certified holistic care is often confused with hospice care, these two types of care are different, and may involve different services, resources, and solutions. Hospice care is typically the care of a terminal or dying individual, with a life expectancy of six months or less. Hospice care focuses on comfort, safety, and offering dignity and peace throughout the end of life process.

Holistic care is supportive care for clients with a wide range of needs, regardless of life expectancy. Holistic care can be part of a care plan for clients in a hospice program, but it can also be incorporated for clients throughout their elderly care. Holistic care is meant to incorporate emotional, social, mental, spiritual, and physical health needs, to provide your loved one with the most comprehensive assistance possible and increase their overall quality of life.

At Senior Homecare by Angels, holistic care is part of our philosophy of how we interact with all our clients. Our care services include options such as social care, transportation into the community or to family events, encouragement for hobbies and personal interests, and developing comfortable, communicative relationships between clients and caregivers. Holistic care is ingrained in every care plan we create, customized for each of our clients based on age, location, interests, needs, and habits.

Our caregivers can complete a Senior Homecare by Angels Holistic Care Certification Program, which trains our elderly care providers in care practices that support a wide range of needs. And through our Life Care NavigationTM program, we’ll help you and your family develop a customized care plan that meets the physical, emotional, mental, and social needs of your loved one, and can adapt to changes in their health, as well.

If your loved one is in need of elderly care that incorporates more than just their physical needs, Senior Homecare by Angels is here to help. Contact us to learn more about our holistic care services.
